Summer 2010 began with a bright and
warm spring.
The Mothersday lunch, June 2010
The summer 2010 was the hottest
summer ever in Finland.
The
highest temperature was +35 C (+95 F) in July.
It was easy to row the small boat on
a big lake.
The
lakewater was calm and warm.
Leena
swimming Liittokivi -cliff behind.

One day our destination was the
ancient rock paintings at Astuansalmi.
James,
Liisa, Leevi and Leena watching the primitive figures of elks, boats
and human beings.

The
other day we had a break in the Otrasaari -island. Lotta and Leevi
are waiting the sausage to be roasted.

You
can see many kind of things while rowing and having breaks.
The
boat in a forest was the most unexpected.

The
big birds (kuikka) cheer up the boat trip.

Very, very good summer,
the "tropical" summer 2010 in Finland.
